Chapter Three: Self-Healing Stories

Our third and final chapter will feature @fenamenal, Artiste + CEO. Raised in Nairobi’s Buru Buru Estate, Fena Gitu has her family’s rich musical background to thank for her melodic inclination. “My mom and sister encouraged my interest in music, singing in school and in church. I fell in love with music at a young age and had always known that I would grow up to be a musician, a music producer or a DJ,” says the “Steam” hit maker. After completing high school, she enrolled at the United Stated International University for a degree in International Relations and Psychology. Her end game was that she would eventually break into the music circles.

Fena and I will discuss the struggles we experienced on the road to adulthood, the things they don’t teach you in grade school but are important insights for life school, how we are all made to self-heal if we take time to invest in our self-help, and why this process is critical to becoming who you were always meant to be.
