These RBC tailored events bring together sustainability professionals to gain insight, exchange and engage on sustainability in Kenya and beyond. This series also provides an opportunity for sustainability professionals to build relationships and explore opportunities with like-minded people and organizations.

Jane Wangari Kinyua, Sustainability & Geocycle Director, Bamburi Cement PLC
In her role at Bamburi Cement, Jane Wangari focuses on Climate and Energy, Circular Economy, Water conservation, Nature and biodiversity, People and social initiatives, sustainable procurement, and sustainability governance. With an MBA in Strategy from Edinburgh Business School (Heriot-Watt University, UK), an MSC in Occupational Health and Safety from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology (JKUAT), and a BSC in Manufacturing Engineering and Technology from Egerton University, she brings over 15 years of technical and leadership experience in multinational organizations. A graduate of IMD Business School in Switzerland on Leadership and Ivey Business School, Jane is known for her outstanding results, leadership, team-building, and communication skills.
Dr. Irene Amoke, Advisor, Kenya Wildlife Trust & Independent Consultant
Dr. Irene Amoke is a seasoned landscape ecologist with 15+ years of experience in conservation science, policy, and leadership. With a focus on wildlife, communities, and sustainable land practices, she holds a BSc in Zoology, an MSc in Environmental Assessment and Management, and a PhD in Spatial Ecology. As a 2022 Eisenhower Fellow, Irene advocates for natural capital and serves on national and international boards, driving African-led innovation.
Dr. Catherine Machungo, Lead Carbon Scientist, Natural State
Catherine Machungo, PhD, brings over 13 years of research and technology transfer experience from government and international research institutions. Previously, she led the research department at the National Irrigation Authority, managing internal and external projects and providing expert guidance. With expertise in aflatoxin contamination detection, she has collaborated on impactful projects benefiting small holder farming communities. Catherine holds a BSc in Agriculture, an MSc in Horticulture, and a Ph.D. in Agriculture.

Susan Njoroge – MD, Responsible Business Consulting
Susan Njoroge, Managing Director of Responsible Business Consulting, is a sustainability and communications expert passionate about driving sustainable, responsible, and successful businesses. With a focus on authentic communications, she provides consulting services that embed sustainability practices for business success and development. Susan is a Senior Associate at Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership, an Executive Fellow at Strathmore Business School, and a training consultant with Shared Value Africa Initiative & Shift Impact Africa. With multinational experience, she holds an MSc in Sustainable Development from SOAS University of London and a Bachelor of Commerce in Business Management from Daystar University Kenya, along with certifications in PR, marketing communications, and sustainability.
